Create an Estimate

Prerequisites

• At least one customer in your account

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to Estimates from the left sidebar
2. Click + New Estimate
3. Select a customer
4. Add line items:
   • Click Add Line Item
   • Enter description
   • Enter quantity
   • Enter unit price
   • Repeat for additional items
5. Set tax rate (if applicable)
6. Add deposit requirement (optional)
7. Click Save Estimate

Expected Behavior

• Estimate is created in "Draft" status
• Totals are calculated automatically
• Estimate can be sent to customer

Common Mistakes

• Forgetting tax rate - check your default in Settings
• No line items - estimate must have at least one item
